Transparency

Everything that can be published,is published

Transparency is intended to be one of the strongest characteristics of the Sai Baba Peace Awards — in governance, in accounts and in the way decisions are made.

Governance

The operating structure

01

Sai Baba Peace Foundation

Board of Trustees, responsible for legal standing, finance and long-term stewardship.

02

Awards Council

Independent, responsible for nominations, evaluation and the final choice of laureates.

03

Peace Fund Committee

Responsible for grants, agreements, monitoring and published impact.

04

Ethics & Integrity Committee

Conflict-of-interest review, complaints, integrity concerns, due diligence, sponsorship ethics and the award withdrawal policy.

05

International Advisory Council

Respected voices from Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia and India.

06

Event & Production Team

Venue, production, hospitality and ticketing only — with no role in award decisions.

The separation of money from award decisions is fundamental.

Policies

The published rules

Conflict-of-interest policy

Every Council and jury member declares any personal, professional, financial or organisational relationship with a nominee. Where a conflict exists, that member does not participate in that nominee's evaluation.

Nomination rules

Written nomination by a competent nominator through one of three routes. Self-nomination is not accepted. Evidence of documented work is required.

Selection rules

Eligibility check, expert jury evaluation, Council shortlist and a final confidential decision — as set out in the Awards Charter.

Confidentiality

Nominations, investigations and opinions relating to the decision remain confidential. Internal voting is never published.

Sponsorship ethics

Support funds the programme and the Peace Fund. It never confers selection rights, jury seats or advance information.

Award withdrawal

The Ethics & Integrity Committee may recommend withdrawal of an award where integrity is found to have been breached.

Non-Negotiables

Five things that never change

01

Independent jury

Nobody buys an award.

02

Transparent accounts

Every contribution and every expense accounted for and audited.

03

Real impact

Every award must represent genuine, documented work.

04

Global representation

Not only Indian personalities — the world must be able to nominate and take part.

05

A long-term Peace Fund

The event must leave something behind after the lights go off.
