The Sai Peace Awards docket — vision, nine honours, and the path from Shirdi to the world.
The Institution
The central principle
The award cannot be bought.
Sponsors may support the event. Donors may support the Peace Fund. Patrons may support the Foundation. But nobody who gives money can buy a nomination, a shortlist position or an award.
Governance & TransparencySection 01 — The Movement
The story of the Sai Baba Peace Awards is not simply the story of an award. It is the story of a message — born in Shirdi through the timeless teachings of Sai Baba: Shraddha, Saburi, Seva, Karuna, Samata and humanity above all.
What began as a vision in India gradually evolved into a global mission. The Sai Baba Peace & Unity Baton — the Mashaal — became its moving symbol: a flame travelling from one community to another, from one continent to another.
The Baton is more than a ceremonial object.
It is a promise.
Section 02 — 2026 Edition
When inner light becomes global peace
The 2026 edition brings together leaders, humanitarians, scientists, artists, athletes, spiritual voices, young changemakers and institutions whose work demonstrates that peace is not merely an aspiration.

Section 03 — Where it all began
Kolkata · 2015
At an international tennis event at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Aushim Khetarpal, Founder of the Shirdi Sai Baba Foundation, presented the first Sai Baba Peace Award to tennis legend and humanitarian Martina Navratilova — recognising not sporting excellence alone, but her contribution to equality and human dignity.
Beneath the sporting spectacle was the beginning of something much larger: an award that would look beyond fame, beyond profession, beyond nationality — and ultimately beyond religion.
Section 04 — The Awards

Its journey begins symbolically in Shirdi, then travels across communities and continents — carried in the Great Spiritual World Tour, Sai Ki Mahima, with Aushim Khetarpal.

Section 08 — The Nomination Process
Laureates are honoured with a medal — but the medal is not the ultimate prize. The real honour is the responsibility that follows it: an annual Peace Forum, mentorship of young peacebuilders, and the ethical principles of the Awards upheld for life.
Who can nominate

Section 09 — Beyond the Medal
Because peace should not end when the ceremony ends.
Section 10 — The Ceremony
Not an awards show.
A global peace convocation.
Sacred minimalism, global elegance and Indian civilizational depth. The visual world of the Awards should feel like the United Nations meets Shirdi — not a Bollywood portal, not a corporate conference, not a religious website.
