Peace Fund

Something must remainafter the lights go off

A permanent fund supporting selected peace and humanitarian initiatives — so that each year of the Awards leaves lasting work behind it.

Purpose

The Awards recognise people who create peace. The Peace Fund helps create more peace.

Sealed grants in a gold bowl beside a lamp and a closed ledger

The Peace Fund is held and governed separately from the Awards decisions. The Peace Fund Committee is responsible for grants, monitoring and impact; no donor to the Fund gains any influence over who is honoured.

This is the difference between an event and an institution: the Awards celebrate service, the Fund continues it, and every grant is documented publicly in the annual report.
